Every student must carry his almanac and identity card to school each day.
Students who come to school on their own should arrive 10 minutes before the bell rings.
The first morning bell before a class is a signal for all to go to their respective classrooms. This should be done promptly and in silence.,
Changing of classrooms between periods should be done in an orderly manner and silently.
Students should be habitually clean and always neatly dressed. The school uniform should be worn on all working days and for all school functions. Students who are slovenly dressed or not in uniform will be sent home.
All boys (except Sikhs) must keep their hair short. Girls must tie their hair neatly with a green band.
Students are advised to keep their class room, building and campus as clean as possible and make use of dustbins.
As a part of “Swachch Vidhyalaya Abhiyan” the students must carry a sanitizer, a duster and a napkin to keep themselves and their surroundings clean.
No books (other than text books, library books or good story books), magazines or papers should be brought to the school.
Lending or borrowing of money or other articles is prohibited.
The school is not responsible for the goods lost. It is not advisable to bring valuable articles (like expensive watches, fountain-pens, items of jewellery) to school.
Students who are escorted to school should never leave before the escort arrives. In case of delay, they should report to the school office.
The school reserves the right to suspend students on the basis of indiscipline. Use of fire crackers, holi colours etc is strictly prohibited.
No attendance would be given to a student during the period of suspension.
Parents and guardians of all students should contact the teachers on the PTM days to note the progress of their wards.
Parents and guardians must not visit their wards or teachers without prior permission of the Headmistress.
The name, class and section of the pupil should be clearly marked on all the belongings of the students. Water bottles, blazer and jerseys should also bear the name of the student.
Latecomers and uniform defaulters will be sent home.
A student who uses unfair means during tests will be given zero in the subject and a warning letter. Repetition of the same will result in dismissal.
A child will not be allowed to leave the school after a test. In case he/she is not well, he should appear for the retest of the subject. No attendance will be given if the child appears for the test only.
Students are not allowed to use the school telephone without the permission of the Receptionist. They will not be called to answer phone calls during class hours.
Students using the school bus will maintain discipline in the bus. Bus facilities will be withdrawn in cases where discipline is not properly maintained.
A sick child should not be sent to school. In case of an emergency, when the school doctor instructs so, the parents will be requested to take the child back.
Students are not allowed to go to a relative/friend’s house from school.
No birthday parties in any form are allowed. Distribution of any gifts in the school is banned.
In case a child is absent for more than 2 days due to any illness a leave application must be sent to the teacher. In case of any other reason of absence prior sanction to be sought.
The school insists on the following measures to be observed by the members of staff and all students. Care must be taken to observe the “green rules” in order to maintain clean, green surroundings. That is, school premises should not be littered with disposable tumblers, papers or polythene bags.
D.S. International School students should invariably be polite wherever they go. They should always remember that the school is judged by their conduct. They should greet their teachers when they meet them. Bullying and use of foul language are punishable offences.
D.S. International provides education from Nursery to class VIII. Therefore, it is expected that the juniors be treated with love and affection, while the juniors show all respect to their seniors.
All the student appointments to carry out their duties efficiently, In case they are not doing their duties properly, disciplinary action will be taken against them.
Students to carry their text/exercise books according to the timetable for that day. No extra books are allowed.
